There are many items you may have around your home that you can use to treat minor ailments in your dog. For instance cold black tea is great for bathing sore eyes or small wounds that do not need medical treatment. Similarly sudacrem, aloe vera gel or coconut oil can be used on sore spots or scratches. For pain you can also give your dog paracetamol (never give to cats though) at a rate of 10mg per kg of body weight. Piriton can also be given for allergies or itching caused by things such as nettles. For dogs 10kg or under give half a tablet and for dogs over 10kg give a whole tablet.
